My intent with these photographs was to go to a place and photograph the people in it. I wanted to photograph the religious aspect of the place, especially the religious people.

Pinhole Camera

I made this pinhole camera by basically making a wooden box, drilling a hole in it and then attaching a pinhole to it. It also contains a sliding shutter, a handle and cloth straps to keep it shut. To take pictures I put a piece of light sensitive material in it and expose for 40 to 80 seconds. The negative is about 5"x10".

Pinhole Photography

These are pictures I took with a pinhole camera that I made.
The camera makes a 8x5 negative.
I then contacted them onto colored paper using cyanotype chemicals.
